A thousand sign-ups in one week: thank you to everyone who filled our lobbies and our evenings

On Tuesday we were thanking you for passing 250. On Wednesday, in the post about our Discord, there were almost 500 of you. Today there are a thousand of you, and the site has been open for one week.

Put like that, it sounds like just a number. To us it means a thousand people who picked a stage name, stepped into the booth and decided to stay. We're really proud of how it's going, and we wanted to tell you.

What you got up to in seven days#

We took a look at the numbers, and some of them surprised us. You took more than 1,400 rounds all the way to the results and recorded over 28,000 lines. Plenty were in your real voice, quite a few with the Chipmunk.

Our favourite number is about packs. There are more than 120 on the shelf, and every single one was made by you with the Pack Creator. Movie scenes, cartoons, series, memes: much of what gets played every night was brought in by one of you.

And people play everywhere. Lobbies open in six languages, and players come from dozens of different countries, often in the same room.

Thank you#

Thank you to everyone who opened a lobby and sent the link to their friends, because that's how most of you got here. Thank you to whoever spent an hour trimming a clip to turn it into a pack. And thank you to those who wrote to us to report a problem: it helped us fix things faster.

What's next#

Now we want to welcome even more people. The more of us there are, the easier it is to find an open room in your language at any hour. And a quick match at eleven at night becomes normal, not a stroke of luck.

The best evenings on Dub With Your Friends are the ones spent together, when someone laughs so hard at the premiere that they drown out the dub. We want lots more of those.
