Parallel
Everyone dubs the same scene. Best take wins.
1 to 10 playersIf your group loves Gartic Phone, you already know the feeling: everyone works alone, then the reveal makes the whole room laugh. Dub With Your Friends brings that to voices. Instead of drawing a prompt, you dub a movie scene.
Gartic Phone is a free browser game built on the telephone game: players write a prompt, the next player draws it, the next one describes the drawing, and the chain is revealed at the end. It needs nothing but a browser, no account, and it has several modes on top of the classic one. It's a great game, and drawing badly on purpose is half the fun.
Dub With Your Friends swaps the pencil for a microphone. A scene plays with the original voices muted; everyone records the lines alone in a private booth; then the premiere plays every version to the whole room, in sync, and you vote for the best dub.
There are seven modes: Parallel, Character, Improv, Blind, Remix, Charades and Impostor. Voice effects (Chipmunk, Monster, Robot, Echo, Phone, Cathedral, Underwater) turn any line into something else. Players make their own scenes with the Pack Creator, and streamers can let viewers watch and vote with audience mode.
Pick Gartic Phone when nobody wants to talk, when you're a very big group, or when someone has no microphone: it's all drawing and typing. Pick Dub With Your Friends when your group is on a call anyway and likes doing voices: a room seats up to 10 players, and more friends can watch and vote as audience.
Both run in the browser, both are free, and both start with a link in the chat. Nothing stops you from playing one after the other.
